A good seal, if used improperly, can also lead to sealing failure of the entire product, such as incorrect use of lubricating oil.
For example, O-rings have very different sizes and requirements and may be using the wrong grease. This O-ring sealing product is made of EPDM rubber. The O-ring sealing product made of EPDM rubber itself cannot resist mineral oil grease. After applying this kind of grease on the EPDM rubber O-ring, it will cause the volume of the sealing product to dissolve. After knowing the reason, there is no problem in changing it to silicone oil.
Another common key is seal failure due to installation errors. For example, the O-ring is distorted during installation; the pressure of the sealed product is uneven due to improper installation; the sealing product is insufficiently lubricated and other errors. If this error is caused by the seal manufacturer, it falls within the scope of production quality control. If it is caused by the ordering party or a third party, it is an improper use of the goods.
Nowadays, with the rapid development of science and technology, many new sealing materials and engineering designs have appeared on the market to meet different strict environmental requirements. At the same time, most sealing product manufacturers have also adopted scientific quality management systems. Our company implements the ISO9001 production management system and has specially set up sealing product quality inspection. We can provide sealing product performance inspection reports to understand the physical properties of sealing materials and ensure that the sealing products produced are more durable.
